Vice President, Information Technology - Nova Scotia Power

Reporting to the Executive Vice President, Finance and also responsible to Emera’s Chief Digital Officer, the Vice President, Information Technology manages a $60M capital and operating budget and drives NSP’s digital transformation with a focus on building cross-department partnerships and digital capabilities to enable the organization to achieve the strategic plan. The Vice President, Information Technology is a key leader within Nova Scotia Power and Emera, enabling the organization to meet key objectives and achieve success by aligning with operations. This includes initiatives in the areas of safety, customer experience, decarbonization, decentralization, innovation, affordability, and reliability. The IT team and this role support NSP, Emera Inc., and the other Emera Canadian companies and interacts closely with each of the executive teams.

The ideal candidate works collaboratively within a team and independently and has at least six years of experience in senior leadership with accountability for information technology, information systems, and cyber security in a complex, multi-stakeholder corporate environment. Demonstrated experience working in operations is an asset. An innovative, capacity-building leader, the Vice President champions the planning and implementation of smart technology investments. Highly professional with a strong team orientation, they operate with integrity and authenticity.
