Role Overview
The Project Manager oversees the full project lifecycle, providing leadership, coordination, and accountability across scope, schedule, budget, and quality. This role works closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution and alignment with rcs’s core values of Accountability, Communication, and Teamwork. The ideal candidate is well organized, a strong communicator, and brings hands-on job site experience that supports quick, fair, and informed decision making in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
As a Project Manager at rcs, you will lead commercial construction projects for well‑known clients across Atlantic Canada, including Sobeys, Loblaw’s, Starbucks, McDonald’s, RBC, Scotiabank, Northwood, and Ronald McDonald House. Your work spans the full project lifecycle, ensuring each project is delivered with the quality, communication, and professionalism that rcs is known for.
Project Leadership and Delivery - Lead all phases of construction projects, support site teams, maintain strong communication, and uphold quality, schedule, budget, and rcs’s Safety First & Always program.
Planning and Start‑Up- Participate in handover meetings, lead subcontractor buyouts, review drawings and specifications, develop project schedules, and ensure accurate documentation is in Procore.
Project Administration and Financial Management - Monitor project costs, manage change orders in Jonas, review and sign of on invoices for payment applications, and maintain organized documentation for monthly reviews.
Closeout- Oversee submission of closeout materials, lead client and subcontractor handover meetings, and complete all required documentation and final project photos.
Preconstruction and Estimating Support- Participate in tender site visits, support estimating activities, and contribute to bid strategy, postmortems, and continuous improvement.
Required
Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, or Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of project management or project coordination experience with a general contractor.
Proficiency with Procore, Jonas, and MS Office Suite.
Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work well under pressure, make timely decisions, and navigate conflict with fairness and professionalism.

Preferred
Gold Seal Certification or commitment to achieving it.
First Aid and relevant safety certifications.
