For more than 30 years Cresco has built award-winning homes and communities across Halifax. They are now seeking an experienced, growth-oriented commercial high-rise Project Manager, to grow their business in commercial development.

Cresco is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to oversee multi-unit commercial construction projects in the vibrant city of Halifax, Nova Scotia. As the Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality. In this role, you will lead the coordination, execution, and completion of projects with the support of a talented project team. Your exceptional organizational and leadership skills will be put to the test as you manage team productivity, project schedules, and resource allocation. With a focus on safety, efficiency, relationship management, and relationship building with local contractors, you will monitor project phases to meet deadlines and ensure adherence to budgetary limitations. Your expertise in contract administration will shine as you negotiate contracts, hire contractors and sub-contractors, and you will build the scheduling system to ensure the project timelines are on track.

Your communication skills will be essential as you engage with clients, contractors, sub-contractors, tradespeople, and stakeholders. Additionally, you will source and hire your own team of building professionals to support you and Cresco in their new commercial ventures.

To thrive in this role, you'll need a degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 8- 10 years of experience in construction project management, or 2-3 full-cycle commercial projects that have been completed under your management. Your knowledge of construction materials, methods, and codes will be invaluable. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are a must, as is the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timely completion. Familiarity with project management software tools, such as PROCORE, is desirable.
