Country Ribbon Inc. is proud to provide customers with nutritious and delicious fresh and frozen chicken products produced from its farm, feed mill, and processing facilities, located in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. It is wholly owned by Atlantic Poultry Incorporated (API). Having operations in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland, API is solely owned by Atlantic Canadian poultry producers. It is a significant supplier of feed, chicks and poults to the Atlantic Canada poultry industry as well as fresh table eggs to retail and food service customers.

Country Ribbon Inc. is looking for a President and General Manager with the responsibility for overall leadership of the company. Reporting to the Chair of the Board, the President and General Manager is responsible for executing the company’s vision and strategy and fostering a collaborative culture and a cohesive results-oriented team.
The President and General Manager engages with the shareholder, employees, clients and stakeholders to chart a business strategy for the company and takes sequential steps to achieve operational and financial goals. The role includes assessing the current situation, establishing financial benchmarks, assessing capital management, recruiting and developing talent and aligning the structure to be nimble and ready for opportunities. The President and General Manager embraces their role as the leader and is comfortable in the barn, feed mill and plant as well as in the boardroom. The role is hands-on, sets the tone and is accountable for the company’s culture, operational excellence, financial performance and health and safety.
The President and General Manager is a brand ambassador for the company, ensuring solid relationships and creating value and a sense of purpose with all stakeholders, including retailers, suppliers and partners. In this high-profile role, the President and General Manager joins an exciting organization, providing overall strategic management to achieve its direction for the future.
The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with 10 to 15 years of combined leadership and operational experience in a fresh food processing related business. Previous experience in a poultry or food manufacturing company of similar scale will be considered an asset. A highly energetic influencer and excellent communicator, you have demonstrated experience in successfully championing and driving change and achieving efficiency and effectiveness.
