Freedom Self Storage provides affordable, secure, and clean ready-to-rent storage and vehicle parking units throughout Nova Scotia, with advanced security features including 24-hour video surveillance and state-of-the-art technology, featuring new Bluetooth units. Freedom Self Storage has four conveniently located facilities in Antigonish, Guysborough County, and Porters Lake. Freedom Self Storage has a team of highly knowledgeable, friendly, and professional individuals to provide outstanding customer service, ensuring clients feel safe and secure storing their belongings.

Reporting to the owners, the Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business. The Operations Manager will create key operational processes and ensure best practices are implemented efficiently and effectively across all locations. With strategic and financial oversight, this individual will look to increase revenue and occupancy through the creation of sales and marketing tactics highlighting Freedom’s unique service capabilities. The Operations Manager builds and maintains relationships with vendors and clients and guides staff on the implementation of exceptional customer service standards. The Operations Manager will conduct site visits and ensure all business and service practices are being implemented in a high-quality fashion, particularly the transition to a new, entirely electronic system that has been recently implemented at Freedom Self Storage.

As a solutions-oriented leader the Operations Manager will look to find organizational efficiencies and opportunities for growth and expansion. This individual will engage their staff, keeping them motivated and is a strong communicator that expresses the organizational goals for expansion and the steps needed to get there. This individual can work highly autonomously, has an entrepreneurial spirit, is technologically savvy, and possesses strong people, critical thinking, and organizational skills.

The successful candidate has 1-2 years of management experience – ideally with experience in a marketing, technology, and/or client communications field; experience working with computers and system software would be considered an asset. The Operations Manager is a natural self-starter with exceptional management skills; they are organized, detail-oriented, and energetic with a client focused mindset that will help Freedom Self Storage continue to grow their business while providing exceptional service to Nova Scotians.
