Managing Director - BioScript Solutions (Filled)
Founded in 2001, BioScript Solutions was born out of a need to provide access and quality pharmaceutical care to patients prescribed specialty drugs. Today BioScript is a true Canadian success story. With close to 800 staff in locations across Canada, BioScript is dedicated to providing the highest quality patient centered care in the specialty pharmacy industry in Canada. In response to significant accelerated growth in scope and size over the last number of years, BioScript has created the role of Managing Director to provide overall leadership and structure to ensure the company’s long term sustainability, continued growth and success while maintaining a collaborative, patient-focused and employee-centric culture.
Reporting to an Advisory Board, including the Founders, and leading BioScript’s senior leadership team, the Managing Director is accountable for the company’s strategic direction, overall financial health and operational performance, ensuring that the right infrastructure, technology, systems and processes are in place to support continued growth and expansion. With four divisions and many locations across Canada, the Managing Director is skilled at driving alignment, efficiencies and scaling across the businesses through innovative practices, identifying and managing risk, exploring and managing opportunities for diversification and developing and cultivating high performing teams.
The successful candidate has an undergraduate degree or Master’s degree in a relevant field, with at least ten years of CEO or related senior leadership experience and a track record of leading companies through significant growth and change. Private sector experience leading medium size companies with a regional or national scope and that have experienced fast expansion and profitable growth is preferred. Experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or a related medical field is an asset. The ability to acquire superior knowledge and understanding of social, political, technological and economic factors that impact the pharmaceutical business, either in manufacturing, patient care or in related fast moving medical environments is required. The successful candidate has experience successfully championing and driving transformational organizational change while developing strong teams and managing a complex and dynamic environment. They possess strong financial acumen and have proven experience successfully delivering on strategic plans. Bilingualism is considered an asset as is an understanding of board governance.
