Reporting to the Manager of Newfoundland and Labrador, this role, in our Site Assessment and Remediation Group will oversee multiple projects of varying complexities and timelines, while displaying organizational skills in planning, budgeting, issue resolution, resource allocation, and overall management of impacted sites. While becoming involved with current projects with Strum’s existing clients is vital, you will also explore new business opportunities, have a desire to be involved in the organizational growth and development of Strum, and be a key member in proposal pursuits. Liaising with clients on leading-edge projects is paramount to providing economical and innovative solutions for clients. You will be supported by a team of strong technical professionals to ensure projects are properly set up and executed fully, while also coaching and mentoring junior team members. This role is collaborative and client facing, while simultaneously executing independent and precise work for a range of clients.
Strum needs an enthusiastic individual who thrives in a collaborative setting, brings at least 5 years of relevant environmental consulting experience managing a portfolio of projects, and a background in the leadership of technical professionals. You are both analytical and communicative and value engaging, mentoring, and empowering a dynamic team. This individual will be a member of a Professional Engineer or Geoscientist association (P.Eng or P.Geo), and will have a degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Earth Sciences, or related environmental discipline at a minimum, as well as having detailed knowledge of provincial and federal environmental site assessment regulations, and other environmental regulatory requirements. Your love of analytical, detailed work makes you proficient in data collection, technical report writing, and above all, you enthusiastically align with Strum’s commitment to health and safety.
