CanWel Building Materials Ltd. is seeking an accomplished and enthusiastic General Manager to oversee their five locations in Atlantic Canada. In this pivotal role, you will be accountable for the profit/loss of multiple locations, ensuring the achievement of branch goals and financial targets. Your knack for strategic planning will shine as you develop and implement short and long-term plans, working closely with and reporting directly to the President. Under your guidance, the internal sales and administrative team, as well as the external sales force, will exude efficiency and work to attain a larger market presence. Your constructive impact will also encompass upholding exceptional customer service and fostering robust connections with key clientele.
As a leader, you will foster a positive, productive, and transparent work environment, managing and developing direct reports and promoting a balanced team atmosphere. Additionally, you will provide strategic direction for efficient warehouse operations and ensure the upkeep and security of our facilities.

What you bring to the table:

A post-secondary degree or diploma in business and a proven history as a successful senior manager with profit/loss responsibilities and people management within a national organization. A minimum of five years of management experience leading an outside business-to-business sales team. You have strong business acumen, with the ability to develop and implement financial and strategic business plans. You have excellent leadership skills, empowering and inspiring your team to achieve objectives. You are proficient with professional sales skills, with a focus on business-to-business customers. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to travel within the Atlantic provinces and travel to the United States is a requirement.
