Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Director, Information and Technology Services will play a key leadership role in advancing HPA’s digitalization agenda to equip the organization to handle industry changes with flexibility, agility and resilience.
An innovative leader and strategic thinker, the Director will be responsible for leading HPA’s technological direction, corporate information management and resourcing strategy for the provision of technology services. They will work closely with HPA’s senior leadership team, providing strategic guidance and technical leadership, identifying priorities and articulating and delivering on the organization’s digitalization path forward. They will develop and leverage key external relationships with port customers, vendors and partners to advance HPA’s technology mandate and will lead the Information and Technology Services team, including an Application Manager and Technical Infrastructure Supervisor, to deliver on important information services projects and plans. The Director will be accountable for building staff capacity, championing staff development opportunities and fostering a supportive and collaborative culture.
The successful candidate has a University degree, preferably in Information Technology or Information Management and brings at least 8 years of related experience at a senior management level. An acceptable combination of education and experience may be considered. Demonstrated experience moving a technology agenda forward, end to end, is required as is proven experience successfully leading, building and developing high performance teams. A technical aptitude and innovative mind are essential. Excellent written, oral and presentation skills are required. Technical competency in a Microsoft Windows, Office 365, and VMWare environment is an asset.
