Atlantic Aqua Farms is a successful and growing mussel and oyster aquaculture business primarily based in Prince Edward Island, Canada. Committed to customer service and quality products for over 35 years, Atlantic Aqua Farms has established itself as North America’s number one grower and processor of the widely recognized, high quality Prince Edward Island Mussels, under the brand name Canadian Cove and Confederation Cove. The company also farms some of the finest quality Prince Edward Island and Maine Oysters.

An enterprise-minded technology leader with passion for leading and inspiring people and projects, the Director, Information Technology / Information Systems fosters a collaborative and client focused team that enables Atlantic Aqua Farms to model excellence in sustainable aquaculture growing and harvesting, processing, and marketing of premium shellfish. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, the Director IT/IS is a key member of Atlantic Aqua Farms’ leadership team. They are accountable for the overall IT leadership, development and implementation of proactive information technology and information system plans that enable the achievement of business and operations goals, and overseeing IT governance, and risk management.

The role requires a results-oriented technology business partner, adept at planning and implementing IT/IS projects and technology support across multiple locations. Overseeing a team of technology professionals, the leader manages the company’s technology operations and the implementation of new IT/IS systems and policies. The Director is the face of IT, serving Atlantic Aqua Farms’ employees and providing easy-to-use, reliable technology solutions that support continued growth within the company. The Director demonstrates strong technical experience while driving team engagement, accountability, and achieving results while respecting critical resources.

The ideal candidate has a minimum 3 years in a senior IT leadership role, with demonstrated experience overseeing IT teams and critical projects. They have an undergraduate degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field and have established a track record of success leading successful technology teams, IT projects, and enterprise support. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong balance of technical knowledge, communication skills, and leadership skills. They are experienced in mapping and implementing IT/IS policies and systems that are aligned with the business plan and priorities. The Director IT/IS has a significant impact on the success of Atlantic Aqua Farms, a world-class company, and its people.
