Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the newly created role of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) is a dynamic enterprise leader and executive team member, contributing on all strategy and operational leadership matters for the organization. Supported by a talented team of Vice Presidents, the CMO provides product management, marketing, and sales oversight for the organization’s three lines of business - Retail, Destination, and Digital channels, as well as accountability for a number of functions including Lottery Product Management, Gaming Product Management, Channels of Distribution, Brand and Communications, and Innovation/Living Lab.
As champion and primary owner of the customer, the CMO orchestrates product vision and strategy to enable an outstanding player experience. With a sustainable and socially responsible growth strategy at the core of AL’s success, the CMO plays a critical role in architecting the future of the organization’s product roster and lines of business, enhancing, and growing all business lines with a focus on developing brand and marketing strategies that drive player experiences and profitability.
The ideal candidate has a post-secondary education with a focus in business management coupled with at least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in senior marketing capacities within complex organizations. They possess a strategic mindset, vision, and influence, and have proven experience transforming business operations to client centric, high performing, digitally excellent entities. The CMO has deep digital channel experience and advanced product management skills as well as demonstrated experience in strategic management and leadership across organizational functions, directing substantial resources over long-time frames. The candidate has proven expertise in priority setting, project management, and implementing strong processes. Prior experience in fast-moving consumer goods is considered an asset. An inclusive leader, they have a strong track record of building, coaching and leading high performing teams. A collaborative leader, they possess superior EQ, sophisticated communication skills and an innate ability to develop meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders to proactively understand issues, cultivate trust, transparency and extend influence and support.
