Enabling the firm in its mission, the Chief Information Officer (CIO) is a key contributor to the firm’s successful delivery of exceptional legal services to valued local, national, and international clients.

Reporting to the CEO, the CIO oversees the IT team throughout the Atlantic Region, consisting of the Regional Director, IT and a network of field-based IT professionals. Working in close collaboration with the Chief Operating Officers and Managing Partners, they are responsible for IT planning, application systems and programming, technical support, network administration, voice & data communication systems, and general IT leadership and administration.

A technology-savvy, engaging, and inclusive executive leader, the CIO is passionate about technology enablement, skilled in planning and implementing technology roadmaps, and effective in championing smart technology investments. They are challenged to be self-starting and thoughtful, adding value to the firm’s overall ability to leverage the systems and technologies that enable its legal professionals to deliver on quality legal work and client service excellence, now and into the future.

The successful candidate has a university degree in the field of computer science or information systems coupled with 10 years of experience leading teams and IT operations. They have experience driving IT strategy and technology roadmaps that enable the end-user to deliver exceptional client experiences. Candidates are required to have had experience with, or a keen understanding of the nature of professional service firms’ operations. They are an exceptional communicator, adept at cultivating strong relationships, building high-functioning teams, and are skilled in influencing organization-wide innovation.
